On Friday, October 18, 2024, JFK Elementary launched Red Ribbon Week with an exciting kickoff event celebrating the theme “Life Is a Movie, Film Drug-Free.”
The event, organized by Counselor Gracie Galvez, featured performances from the Mini Jewelettes Drill Team, choir, drumline, and folklorico dancers. Special guests, including Border Patrol and a drug-sniffing police dog, were also in attendance to promote drug-free living.
The 4th grade class took home the coveted spirit stick, leading the school in cheers. This fun-filled event set the tone for a week of activities dedicated to making healthy, drug-free choices!
